Dr. Keegan D. Greenier (Ph.D., University of Georgia, 1995, Greenier_KD@Mercer.edu ) holds the positions of Associate Professor of Psychology and Chair of Psychology. His specialty is Social Psychology. He teaches Introduction to Psychology, Social Psychology, Research Methods, Statistics, Tests & Measurement, and Group Dynamics. His research interests include self-esteem, social facilitation, Schadenfreude, and general group and interpersonal processes.
Dr. William (“Bill”) J. Jenkins (Ph.D., University of Michigan, 2003, Jenkins_WJ@Mercer.edu) holds the position of Assistant Professor of Psychology. His area of specialization is Biopsychology. He currently teaches Introduction to Psychology, Statistics, Sensation and Perception, and Drugs and Behavior. His research interests include sexual behavior and motivation, gender/sex differences in behavior, hormones and behavior, maternal behavior, and drug sensitization.
Dr. Miranda Pratt (Ph.D., University of lowa, 1981, Pratt_M@Mercer.edu ) holds the position of Professor. Her specialty area is Clinical Psychology. She teaches Introduction to Psychology, Psychology of Gender, Clinical Psychology, Behavior Modification, Tests & Measurement, and Abnormal Psychology, and is the director of the internship/field placement program. Her research interests include psychophysiology of emotions, behavioral medicine, and eating disorders. She is particularly interested in studying how emotions are related to eating behaviors.
Dr. James E. Radiker (Ph.D., West Virginia University, 1975, Radiker_JE@Mercer.edu) holds the position of Professor of Psychology. His specialty is Psychology of Religion. He teaches Introduction to Psychology, Theories of Personality, Psychology of Learning, Research Methods, Social and Ethical Implications and Alternative Perspectives in Psychology, and Scientific Inquiry. His research interests include integration of Psychology and Christianity, science and religion as well as the teaching of psychology.

Dr. Tanya Sharon (Ph.D., U. of Arizona, 1999, Sharon_T@Mercer.edu ) holds the position of Associate Professor of Psychology. Her specialty is developmental psychology. She teaches Introduction to Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Research Methods, a lab course in Development, and a seminar on controversial issues in psychology. Her current research explores development in young adults (including identity and moral development) across cultural contexts.

Dr. Ami L. Spears (Ph.D., University of Oklahoma, 1998, Ami.L.Spears@gmail.com) holds the position of Associate Professor of Psychology. Her area of specialization is Cognitive Psychology. She teaches Introduction to Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Statistics, Research Methods, History and Systems of Psychology, and Scientific Inquiry. Her research concerns the cognitive aspects of technological tools, including the linguistic aspects of computer-mediated communication. She has studied chat room conversations versus face-to-face conversations for linguistic style, self-disclosure, and memory.

Dr. John C. Wright (Ph.D., CAAB, Miami University, 1976, Wright_JC@Mercer.edu ) holds the position of Professor of Psychology. His specialty is Applied Animal Behavior and he is professionally certified as an Applied Animal Behaviorist by the Animal Behavior society. He teaches Introduction to Psychology, Biopsychology, Biological Bases of Behavior, Research Methods, Statistics, and Animal Behavior. His research interests include the causes of dog and cat bites, the diagnosis and treatment of serious behavioral problems in companion animals, and behavioral effects of early-age spaying and neutering of kittens and puppies. He is particularly interested in studying how early physiological and behavioral treatments affect the development of aggression in animals.
