Anthony Stansfeld and William P. Simmons Art Scholarships. Each scholarship awards $1000 to a rising junior or senior majoring in Art. The award is based on a portfolio of works and an interview with the scholarship committee. Application forms are available in the Art office. The deadline for application is in early March. Call the Art Department ex. 2591 for more information.


The Art Department is housed in a charming historic neoclassical building, and features studio classrooms for ceramics, drawing, 2D design, painting, photography, printmaking and sculpture, along with lecture and seminar rooms for art history and other lecture and discussion classes. Digital imaging classes are taught in two different Mac computer labs located in seperate buildings on the campus.
