- The OWL has Moved
In March 2009, the Academic Resource Center (ARC) changed its Online Writing Lab (OWL) from the original Web site interface to the current Blackboard interface. The interface change was made to streamline OWL services by creating a central repository for student submissions. Switching from a Web site interface to a Blackboard interface was intended to not only enable process efficiency, but to also allow the OWL to be housed within Blackboard where students are already working on other types of course work. Our goal was to provide a user-friendly interface for the OWL services by placing the OWL in a setting with which the students are already familiar.
