What can I expect from a tutor?

Tutors will provide feedback that aims to help you write better papers.  Do not expect to receive a checklist of corrections from tutors, but rather prompts to direct and deepen your thinking and suggestions to strengthen your thesis and organize your ideas for precision and clarity.

Tutor reviews are normally completed within 48 hours; responses for papers longer than 6 pages may require a full 48 hour review period.

Which file formats do you accept?

The Online Writing Lab accepts papers in Rich Text and Microsoft Word 97-2003 format.  If you are using Word 2007, please save your file as a Microsoft 97-2003 file.
