What does the ARC do?
The Academic Resource Center (ARC) plays a key role in student success at Mercer University. We provide structured guidance to traditional undergraduate students on the Macon campus by providing multi-discipline tutoring, supplemental instruction, college study skills courses, and academic advising. We provide specialized support for Mercer's student-athletes through the Student-Athlete Affairs program. In addition, drop-in tutoring labs for undergraduate writing and mathematics are located on the Atlanta campus and the Douglas, Henry, and Macon Regional Academic Centers. Additional support for these and other Regional Academic Center students is provided through our Online Writing Lab.
The ARC located on the Macon campus provides students with a quiet and inviting place to study and engage in course work. The Macon ARC employs many of Mercer University's students as lab assistants, peer tutors, and supplemental instruction leaders. Our student workers are knowledgeable and eager to assist their fellow Mercerians.
